The $3.5 Billion Budget cuts at the end of 2010 has increased up to $4.6 Billion. The process of this package went fairly smooth. Transportation and time management made it difficult to collect B-Roll, which is footage that tells the story.
Speaking of telling the story, the footage collected for this story was not much. The ideas I had were to have clips of news papers. I actually wanted the words to jump off the paper as I read along. Clips of the Capitol building and clips of flags and people and the post office and a school is what I had to work with.
I had the opportunity to meet Representative Grimsley. She was very nice and helpful. I know it is said to go into an interview understanding fully what the topic is about. I went in asking the right questions to fully understand what I need to share with the public.
I actually enjoy putting together packages. It’s the story-telling I’m not the greatest at but I am becoming. It’s just the thought of nothing and creating something! Pure Talent!
This package was rushed on my part. I needed assistance to write my script. I had people there but my availability was the issue. I am actually looking forward to my next package. I can only go up from here. There are something’s I would have done differently. Deadline is Deadline. I am happy to have one.
